LONG EATON FIELD ARCHERS
Long Eaton Field Archers are a field archery club, run entirely by volunteers. We have about 100 members, mostly from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and neighbouring counties. We put on club shoots for our members, open shoots for other clubs, beginners courses and ongoing coaching and more, all in a wood near Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

Long Eaton Field Archers only have a limited number of vacancies for new members. If you are interested in joining our organisation it will be best to do it as soon as possible.

At Long Eaton Field Archers we put safety first. Woodland archery has restricted sight lines, uneven terrain and variable weather conditions. Your safety is our concern.

At the end of the day we are all archers with very similar disciplines, but we have different types of bows, targets, and areas in which we shoot. Membership Costs
LEFA membership fees for 2019/20 are: Adults: £55; Juniors: £25; Family: £110
All memberships run over a calendar year from 1st April to 31st March. People who join after 1st January, who are new to the club, receive a membership which lasts until March the following year.
The cost of membership is low because our members contribute their time and effort into making our club successful, interesting and a pleasure to be a member of. Activities contributed include course laying, target face making, helping at events and other areas where individuals can brings their own skills to bear. This is done voluntarily by our members and is what makes our club one of the best in Europe both for shooting and the social side of things.
For insurance reasons club members must also be members of the National Field Archery Society: www.nfas.net

Club Shoots
We run a number of club shoots each year. These give our members the experience they need to attend other club’s Open Shoots and then even onto the National Championships.
Coaching
We have a tiered system of Coach Trainers, Coaches and Assistant Coaches. All are to NFAS standards. Coaching sessions are free to club members.
Beginners Courses
Long Eaton Field Archers only have a limited number of vacancies for new members.

IMPORTANT
For 12 year olds and under, a parent or family adult (18 plus) must complete the course with the child.
For 13 to 16 year olds, an adult responsible for the child must accompany them at all times.
